Waterfall

After spending the night at Østerbø, we started walking through Aurlandsdalen, a valley in north-western Norway.

It was a hellish trip. 18 kilometres, and nowhere in those 18 kilometres was there a cellphone signal, or a road in case you got injured and had to be picked up or something. 99% of the pathway was covered in sharp rocks that hurt the underside of your feet, and a lot of mud that you could slip in and either fall on your ass or if you're very unlucky, stumble out of the path and fall 80 meters to your death. Yeah. Keep in mind I also have flat feet, and just a half hour walk is usually enough to make my feet hurt. This trip was 7 hours. The longest breaks we got were 5 minutes, because for whatever reason our teachers were really keen on catching up with the rest of the students, even though we never did because they were faaaaar ahead of us. When we finally reached our goal, I was in so much pain I could hardly even think, I hadn't eaten in the entire day because the pain made me feel so sick that I just threw up every time I tried to eat anything, and I just couldn't stop crying. My knees were painful for weeks afterwards.
What makes this even more aggravating is that I found out a couple of weeks after this trip that there was actually a shorter way through the valley, but for some reason the teachers had only told a handful of students, so basically I didn't actually have to suffer this much if only I had known.

The next person who tells me that this was a wonderful trip and that I should stop whining will be punched in the face. The only good thing about the walk through Aurlandsdalen is that I got to take some nice pictures.
